Arlington National Cemetery – Fence Repairs (Phase I)
Client: MICC Fort Belvoir
Location: Washington, DC
Status: Fall 2023 – Present
Scope of Work:
Restoration of approximately 1,500 linear feet of historic stone and metal fencing. Work included fabrication of replacement finials and scrolls, repair of rusted fence sections, reconnection to stone pediments, and installation of new concrete footings.
Impact:
Ballou Senior High School & STAY Opportunity Academy – Maintenance Services
Client: DC Department of General Services (DGS)
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: March 2015 – Present
Scope of Work:
Upgrades included HVAC and plumbing repairs, LED lighting retrofits, classroom painting, masonry restoration, and gym floor replacement. Additional safety and accessibility improvements were completed throughout the campus. Comprehensive operations and maintenance services covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, water treatment, landscaping, snow removal, and custodial support for two LEED Gold educational facilities totaling 345,000 sq. ft.

Children’s National Hospital - Environmental Services
Client: Children’s National Hospital (CNH)
Location: Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia

Scope of Work:
The joint venture will provide cleaning and janitorial services for 38 CNH clinics, encompassing approximately 450,000 square feet of cleanable space across the tri-state area.
Strategic Impact
This partnership aligns with CNH’s system-wide initiative to develop strategic supplier relationships that enhance operational performance and value. The SFMS/P&R Enterprise Joint Venture will play a key role in upholding CNH’s reputation for clinical excellence by ensuring its facilities consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and patient care.
DC DGS – On-Call Plumbing and Electrical Services
Client: DC Department of General Services (DGS)
Location: District-wide
Duration: Oct 2020 – Present
Scope of Work:
Emergency plumbing and electrical response for schools, recreation centers, and public facilities, including stadium lighting, pool light replacements, and water heater installations.
Impact:
Delivered rapid, reliable infrastructure repairs that minimized facility downtime and improved safety and energy efficiency across the District.
DC DMV Headquarters – Janitorial & Maintenance Services
Client: DC Department of General Services (DGS)
Location: 95 M Street SW, Washington, DC
Duration: 2021 – 2026
Scope of Work:
Comprehensive upgrades including new flooring, lactation room creation, repainting, parking lot repaving, and LED lighting replacement. Five-year consolidated maintenance contract covering facility operations, janitorial services, pest control, and grounds maintenance.
Impact:
Improved accessibility, customer comfort, and safety for thousands of daily visitors while supporting the DMV’s sustainability and operational goals. Maintains seamless day-to-day operations at one of DC’s busiest government facilities while ensuring cleanliness, safety, and environmental compliance.
DC Department of Employment Services (DOES) Headquarters – Facilities Management
Client: DC Department of General Services (DGS)
Location: 4058 Minnesota Avenue NE, Washington, DC
Duration: Jan 2016 – Jan 2021
Scope of Work:
Full-service facility management for a 250,000 sq. ft. LEED Gold-certified headquarters building, including operations and maintenance, custodial, landscaping, pest control, and recycling.
Impact:
Ensured reliable, efficient facility operations supporting the District’s workforce development mission. SFMS’s proactive maintenance and pandemic response helped keep DOES operational during critical service periods.
Department of the Interior – Patuxent Research Refuge
Location: Laurel, MD
Client: U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
Scope of Work:
SFMS provides comprehensive janitorial services at the Patuxent Research Refuge, maintaining office, visitor, and exhibit facilities. The five-year contract (2025–2030) ensures a clean, professional environment across multiple buildings while supporting the refuge’s public mission.

Fort Detrick – Building 1668 Lighting Inverter Repair
Location: Ft. Detrick, MD
Client: U.S. Army Contracting Command
Scope of Work:
SFMS repaired and restored a COBRA 3 lighting inverter and replaced 180 batteries to ensure full compliance with NEC, OSHA, and NFPA standards. The turnkey project was completed on schedule with zero safety incidents.

Fort Detrick – Buildings 844 & 845 Demolition

Scope of Work:
SFMS safely demolished and removed two outdated military structures, restoring the area with soil stabilization and new turfgrass. The project adhered to all environmental regulations and was completed on time and within budget.

Fort Detrick – Signal Security Lighting

To improve base security, SFMS installed a new underground-powered LED lighting system surrounding satellite communication infrastructure. The work meets all NEC and OSHA standards, enhancing safety and energy efficiency.

Fort Meade – Buildings 910 & 31 Renovations

Scope of Work:
SFMS renovated bathrooms and classrooms for Child Development Centers, upgrading plumbing, flooring, cabinetry, and finishes per USACE standards. The project delivered modern, safe, and child-friendly learning spaces.

Fort Meade – Buildings 6407 & 6408 HVAC & Mold Remediation

Scope of Work:
SFMS completed a HVAC overhaul and mold remediation project in two barracks. The scope included mold abatement, fan coil replacement, and installation of high-efficiency ventilation systems to prevent future growth.

Georgetown Law School – Night Custodial Services

IDEA Public Charter School – Facilities Management

Scope of Work:
SFMS manages the full facilities program for IDEA PCS, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, custodial, landscaping, and security services. We maintain this LEED-certified campus 24/7 with an emphasis on energy efficiency and student safety.

Kennedy & Triumph Family Shelters – Facilities Management

One Judicial Square - Lighting Retrofit Project

Scope of Work:
The retrofit focused on upgrading the lighting infrastructure across multiple facilities within the Office of Jury Services (OJS). The work encompassed:
- Removal of outdated fluorescent and HID lighting fixtures
- Installation of high-efficiency LED lighting systems
- Integration of occupancy sensors and daylight harvesting controls
- Retrofit of lighting controls to support automated energy management
- Verification and commissioning of all systems to ensure compliance with energy performance specifications

SEED Public Charter School – Janitorial Services

Scope of Work:
SFMS provides full janitorial services for SEED DC’s unique 24-hour boarding school. Our ten-member custodial team maintains classrooms, dormitories, and offices using eco-friendly products to support student health and academic focus.
